Day 01 PANAMA – GUATEMALA CITY – ANTIGUA GUATEMALA
Departure on an international flight from Panama to Guatemala. Arrival at La Aurora International Airport for assistance and transfer to Antigua Guatemala. Check-in and accommodation at the selected hotel.
Day 02 – HALF-DAY ANTIGUA TOUR
Breakfast. Departure for a visit to one of the most important cities during the colonial period in the Americas. Visit La Merced Church, the Main Square, and the Cathedral. Free time for shopping, and at the indicated time, return to the hotel for accommodation. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 03 – ANTIGUA – CHICHICASTENANGO – LAKE ATITLÁN
Breakfast. Early departure to Chichicastenango, located in the central highlands of Guatemala, famous for its colorful and vibrant market. Visit Santo Tomás Church, and at the appropriate time, continue to Lake Atitlán, surrounded by the majestic volcanoes Atitlán, Tolimán, and San Pedro. Enjoy a panoramic visit of Panajachel. Transfer and accommodation.
Day 04 – BOAT TO SAN JUAN LA LAGUNA – LAKE ATITLÁN – GUATEMALA CITY
Breakfast. At 8:00 a.m., board a boat to the village of San Juan La Laguna. Upon arrival, take a walking tour including the Catholic Church, a chocolate cooperative to observe the chocolate-making process, a textile cooperative to learn about natural dye techniques, and workshops of local artisans who use medicinal plants. Return to Panajachel and, in the afternoon, transfer to Guatemala City for accommodation.
Day 5 – GUATEMALA – FLORES – TIKAL – FLORES – GUATEMALA
A packed breakfast will be provided at the hotel reception. At 4:00 AM, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Mundo Maya International Airport. Upon arrival, transfer to Tikal, the most important archaeological site in the Mayan world. Its name means "Place of Voices," and it was built during the Classic Period of the Maya. At the Tikal Archaeological Site, our guide will show you a model of the Temple and Acropolis complex. Visit Complexes Q and R, then continue to the Central Acropolis, Temple I "The Great Jaguar," and Temple II "The Masks," the former considered one of the most important within the complex. Visit the Lost World (time permitting), and in the afternoon, return to the Visitor Center for lunch. At a convenient time, transfer to Mundo Maya Airport for your return flight to Guatemala. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for overnight accommodation.
Day 06 – HOTEL – AIRPORT TRANSFER
Breakfast. At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport for the return flight to Panama.
